1. Tell us something about yourself and your new role at MPowered.
I am a serial entrepreneur with 20+ years of global experience in IT & Design Services, having worked extensively in countries like the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, and Poland. My current role at MPowered is that of a Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer with a key focus on growth strategies and how to enable and integrate technology in the real estate vertical in India.
Mpowered is a firm that specializes in Asset-Management Solutions, to help property owners convert their real estate liabilities into chic profit-generating ventures for long term use. The brand envisions converting the unutilized real estate into A-grade facilities by investing in them and implementing its various models on the properties as per the fitment in terms of size, location, infrastructure, among other things.
In addition to being a global entrepreneur, I am an active member and expert panelist at the very prestigious Forbes Technology Council. I was also elected as the Board of Trustee at GOPIO (Global Organization of People of Indian Origin)– Connecticut State Chapter in 2020, prior to which I held the position of the Vice-President for a period of 3 years.
2. What is it that motivates and drives you?
I am my own motivator and my 2 kids inspire me to get up each day and work harder. My vision is to step-up the game of every woman who is a CEO at her heart and needs that push to explore her talent and break gender shackles.
3. What has been your biggest achievement in your career?
From a front desk person of a star-up IT Services company in the US to buying out the company 2 years later was my greatest achievement
4. What are some of the biggest challenges that you have faced?
As a woman, no journey in the corporate world is easy. I always worked with strong ethics and led by example which sometimes is not well adjusted too, in the work environment. I stand by my respect even if it means walking out of a deal. Self-respect and dignity are always non-negotiable for me.
5. What are the things that help you stay organized?
I am a very calendar-driven person and till date make my To-Do Lists to ensure the checklist is visible and accomplished
6. What are your strategies for creating a work-life balance?
Make time for what “you” love. In my case, it is hanging out with my 22-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son and chatting about where the world is going from the eyes of a Millennial. Getting their perspective on things is so refreshing and insightful all the same.
7. What are your future plans?
To help MPowered create a global footprint for itself and be a leader in the Asset Management & Warehousing spaces.
8. Who is your role model?
My mother has always been my role model. I lost her to cancer but each passing day I realize that her teachings about life are being put to use in my personal and professional life.
